Caroling Again

I have not been involved in caroling for the past 40 years ! Finally had the chance to sing carols and gospel songs and did street evangelism again in Chinatown here. Hallelujah ! I joined a group who has been active in street evangelism in Chinatown for the past 2 years.

It was raining cats and dogs at about 3.30 pm when I went to pick up the goodie bags which we would distribute at Chinatown on this Saturday afternoon. While putting the bags into the van and praying at the same time, I knew the Lord would grant my prayer for the program to proceed. The program could not be postponed because we only had two Saturdays before Christmas and it would take time to apply for the police permit for the event. Hallelujah ! The rain stopped completely at 4.10 pm. The program had to start at 4.30 sharp. While driving there, I told a brother and a sister in the van to take a look at the sky. There was still dense dark clouds to the north, east and west except over Chinatown. All thanks and glory to the Lord !

The original lyrics of one of Teresa Teng’s popular songs have been altered into several Christian praise song versions shown on Youtube. I tried my hand too to modify the lyrics closer to the original lyrics. Here is my version and the English translation.

The salvation of the Lord Jesus caused me to ponder in my heart till now.

Testimony (28)

One evening while I was doing my walking exercise, the Lord’s Spirit prompted me to pray for the Lord’s hedge of protection against physical harm for my family. (I was perplexed but I obeyed anyway. I searched the web to read up on the three words – hedge of protection – which I often heard in prayer.) About five days later, my son had a car accident on the way to work. The great impact caused the airbags to activate.

By the grace of our Lord, he had no visible injury. He was hospitalized for a few days to undergo scans and other tests to ascertain there is no other internal injury. All test results did not reveal any internal injury as well.

All thanks and glory to our Lord Jesus. Hallelujah ! Too thankful for words.

Testimony (27)

I believe all healing is divine healing. At times when we pray for an incurable medical problem, our prayer is answered when medical science discovers the cure timely. I had very sweaty palms since young and I prayed for healing despite doctors telling me it was incurable. And the cure came in 1998.

I was distressed over the severe inflammation on my face for the past few months. Anyone looking at me would notice it. I have tried the steroidal cream prescribed by the national specialist clinic for a month without any effect. I prayed for healing and at the opportune time, a brother gave me a spray he invented to try. (If I did not travel overseas for a ministry purpose, I would not have met this brother.) The inflammation was gone after a week of applying it. Hallelujah ! All thanks to the Lord for His healing !
